Meet Instructor Kathy

I strongly believe in the Second Amendment and the right of responsible citizens to safely and confidently exercise their right to keep and bear arms. Just as importantly, I believe in education, safety, and empowering men and women through proper training. 

Over the years, I’ve met a lot of people who want to learn how to safely handle a handgun and take control of their personal safety, but feel intimidated, uncertain, or even fearful around firearms. Those feelings are completely normal — and they’re exactly why quality instruction and a supportive learning environment matter.

That’s where I come in.

Learning to safely and confidently handle a handgun begins with mastering the basics. A strong foundation in firearm safety, proper handling, and fundamental shooting skills is essential for every responsible firearm owner—regardless of experience level.

Understanding handgun operation and developing fundamentals like proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control are the building blocks of becoming a confident and competent shooter. The fundamentals improve skill, promote safe decision-making, and reinforce responsible firearm ownership.

My values are rooted in my Christian faith and guided by integrity, service, compassion, and responsible firearm ownership.  My goal is to provide a supportive learning environment where students can build knowledge, skills, and confidence through quality instruction and hands-on practice. Whether you are new to firearms, refreshing your skills, or continuing your training, mastering the fundamentals is the first step toward becoming a safe and responsible handgun owner.
